Terms of Service

By installing or using Code Magic: Altify AI (“the App”, “we”, “us”) on your Shopify store, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or continue using the App.

The App is a Shopify embedded admin application that helps merchants manage alt text and SEO metadata across products, collections, and files, apply reusable templates, optionally generate AI-assisted alt text using a provider API key you supply, and run WCAG 2.1 accessibility audits of your public storefront.

The App offers a Free plan and paid Starter and Pro plans. Paid plans are billed through Shopify's Billing API and charged to the payment method on file with your Shopify account, in accordance with Shopify's own billing terms.

• Upgrading, downgrading, or switching plans takes effect immediately once approved in Shopify.
• Cancelling a paid plan is immediate — paid features are removed right away, and Shopify issues a prorated credit for the unused portion of your current billing cycle.
• All prices are listed in USD; Shopify's Billing API does not support other currencies for app charges.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of alt text, metadata, and templates you create, edit, or apply using the App.
• If you use the AI Generator feature, you must supply and are responsible for your own API key with your chosen AI provider, and for any usage costs charged by that provider.
• You must use the App in compliance with Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy and Merchant Terms of Service.

When you use the AI Generator feature, image and product data is sent directly to the AI provider you configure (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, or Kimi/Moonshot) using your own API key. That provider's own terms and privacy policy govern how they process that data — we do not control or store the content of those requests.

The App, its code, design, and branding are owned by us. You retain full ownership of your store data, media, and any content you generate or edit using the App.

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Accessibility audit results and AI-generated suggestions are provided as guidance only — we do not guarantee full legal compliance with WCAG, ADA, or any other accessibility standard or regulation, and recommend an independent human review before relying on them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including lost sales, lost data, or SEO ranking changes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin. Uninstalling immediately ends your subscription and permanently deletes all data associated with your shop, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below.

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where the App's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
